Budget News – Minimum Wage set to increase

The chancellor has announced prior to the budget that the minimum wage will rise in April as follows:

  • The National Living Wage for over 21’s will rise by 6.7%, from £11.44 to £12.21 per hour
  • For 18 to 20 year olds, the minimum wage will rise from £8.60 to £10.00 per hour
  • Apprentice will have an increase from £6.40 to £7.55 per hour
