This will depend on the employees pay structure and if an employee is paid hourly.
Salaried employees
Employers with salaried workers are paid their normal salary, however those employees who are paid close to the minimum wage you do need to be mindful that they are working an extra day/hours so check that their salary doesn’t go below the minimum wage.
Hourly employees
Hourly paid employees will be paid the extra hours if they are worked.
