Along with a number of updates from HMRC, we can confirm that the new rates for tax year 2022/23 are as follows:
SSP weekly rates for sickness will increase from 6th April 2022 from £96.35 to £99.35.
Parental leave such as maternity and adoptions will increase from the first Sunday in April (3rd) from £151.97 to £156.66 per week or 90% of the average weekly earnings (AWE), whichever is lower.
The specific rules for schemes remain the same including COVID-19 related absence, although these are due to be reviewed in March and are likely to change at the end of March 2022.
